Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced Telecom Engineer as part of our Engineering team within our Oil, Gas & New Energies business based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be based full time at our Engineering Center in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Design, Conceptual, FEED and detail Engineering experience.
Proposal Estimation (Manhours, Deliverable list with Manhrs & Costing estimation for proposal in Telecom systems.
Support interfacing between Telecom systems and key vendors (including Digital System Integrator (DSI)) and other EPC contractors to ensure quality and execution objectives are met.
Ensure telecoms engineering activities are conducted in accordance with project specifications and approved variations if any.
Co-ordinate with other disciplines and review of other discipline deliverables.
Carryout onshore and offshore site surveys as required.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Telecom Engineering or Electronics and Communications Engineering Expected.
Experience of working with multi - national and multi - cultural project teams is strongly preferred.
Competent to carry out the Design activity in the Design-Check-Approve-Authorize cycle, and to check the technical deliverables of designers.
General knowledge of other related disciplines.
Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks.

Telecom Engineer
