Key Responsibilities

• Accurately document patient medical history, physical exams, diagnostic tests, and treatment plans during clinical visits.
• Assist physicians in navigating the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to streamline documentation processes.
• Ensure all medical records are complete, accurate, and comply with SSMC's quality standards and regulations.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information and sensitive medical data.
• Anticipate physician needs and retrieve relevant patient data for upcoming appointments.
• Prepare discharge instructions and prescriptions as directed by the supervising physician.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Proficiency in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems; specific experience with Cerner is a plus.
• Excellent listening, observation, and documentation skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced, dynamic clinical environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals.
• A certificate or vocational training in medical transcription, medical assisting, or a related healthcare field is preferred.
