INSPECTOR - SAFETY

Job Overview

DP World is seeking a Safety Inspector to manage the day-to-day OH&S aspects of projects, ensuring policies and procedures are implemented and complied with. The role involves conducting safety inspections, implementing permit to work systems, and driving safety awareness campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a NEBOSH certification or equivalent, along with experience in safety risk assessment and accident investigation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day OH&S aspects of the project.
• Conduct Safety inspections as planned, timely, and accurately.
• Implement and monitor the Permit to Work system.
• Drive safety awareness campaigns and promote positive safety behavior.
• Participate in accident investigation and root cause analysis.
• Liaise with Project Managers / Client / Contractors on safety matters.

Requirements

• NEBOSH - International General Certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years working experience as a Safety Inspector.
• Experience in Ship / Rig repair / Conversion OR New building/Offshore Construction.
• Good knowledge of Safety Management and relevant tools.
• Knowledge of OHS Management System and OHSAS 18001.
• Knowledge of legal / regulatory and other relevant standards for OHS.
